What is New Age

The “New Age” movement that became so popular in the 1960s started with the nineteenth-century Theosophical Society. It proposes that there exists a universal life-creating reality which is all-pervasive and reveals itself in the purposeful, ordered, and meaningful processes of nature as well as in the deepest recesses of mind and spirit. New Age proposes that, through this reality, the universe and its entire contents become a single interdependent entity. From that baseline perspective, New Age concludes that each individual is responsible to promote reverence for life, compassion for all, and sympathy for the need of each individual to find truth for himself. New Age therefore promotes understanding and fellowship among people of all races, nationalities, philosophies, and religions, orienting them toward devotion to truth, love for all living things, and commitment to a life without personal judgment of others.

Satan’s Inverse Christianity

New Age proposes a universal life-creating reality but does not identify it as God, in direct opposition to the First Commandment. Ex 20:5 “You shall have no other gods before me.”

God created us good. Gn 1:31 but He gave us free will to choose good and evil. Dt 30:19 Love, in its very nature, is a free and voluntary act. To truly love, we must be free to not love. The New Age idea suggests that the universal life-creating reality pervades the entire universe and all its creatures. If that were true, all human persons would promote reverence for life and compassion for all. Obviously, some of us do and some do not.

God has always presented Himself to us as masculine because men create outside of themselves. God created us good, but our first parents chose to hear Satan rather than God and so fell from grace. But the New Age idea is that everything and everyone is made of godstuff. That is why so many New Age deities are female. Women create most fully within themselves. In the New Age tales, everything in the universe comes forth from a female deity’s womb. If the universe and all the creatures within it are made of godstuff, everything is good and no evil can exist.

There is in the human spirit a deeply rooted hunger for God. The New Age feeds its followers with spiritual junk food, an imagined force for good in the world. Because the New Age soul craves true food, the Holy Eucharist, but receives only junk food, it seeks information from spiritual sources through tarot cards, horoscopes, astrology, ouija boards, and other devices, as well as women who claim psychic powers. Demons are willing to provide this information, so that the new age follower begins to trust them or even depend upon them.

Pagan, Occult, and Earth Mysteries

New Age holds that during the entire history of human civilization there has been much more in our world than the rational would explain, because these unexplained “truths” were great threats to religious and political power. But certain people “in the know” would be willing to share them with us. Freemasonry is an example.
