The highest and best career decision that a young man can make is for the priesthood. Whether he becomes a diocesan or a religious priest is in God’s hands, but we urgently need to give God priests. Priests distribute Catholic teaching in its most pure and complete form. The amount of grace and teaching that a priest distributes in the population over his lifetime is literally incalculable.

Most young men who sense a call to the priesthood spend a lot of time with a holy priest. Every holy priest will counsel young men on vocations and invite those who are serious to work with them and show them how a priest spends his days.
