The Association of Hebrew Catholics was founded in 1979 by Rev. Elias Friedman, O.C.D., a Carmelite friar born Jewish who passed to his eternal rest in 1999. Now led by David Moss, it aims at ending the alienation of Catholics of Jewish origin from their historical heritage as Israelites.
Remnant of Israel was founded in 1976 by Rev. Arthur Klyber, C.ss.R., a Redemptorist priest born an Orthodox Jew who also passed to his eternal rest in 1999, now led by Mark Drogin, assists Jewish who now profess the Catholic faith, publishes literature for better understanding by Catholics of the Jewish people and their faith, and promotes evangelization and prayer for the Jewish people.
Salvation is From the Jews advertises Roy Schoeman’s book, Salvation is From the Jews. I’m currently working on a book, still probably several years from publication, addressing a similar theme from a very different perspective. I hope everyone reads both books.
The Friendly Hebrew Sons of St. Paul, a “Jewish guide to the Catholic Church,” offers a number of links to sites of interest to inquiring Jews and Catholics interested in their Jewish heritage.
Yeshua’s Light is run by Corey and Carol Foegen, a young couple who live on a 20 acre farm in western New York.
The Jews for Jesus site is Evangelical Protestant and not appropriate for Catholics. As far as I know, all the other “Jewish Catholic” sites are also Protestant and do not have the complete deposit of faith.
The Jewish Christian Relations site is not Catholic. It is not about Christianity or Judaism per se, but about the development of a new understanding between the two communities after a long history of animosity.
