Whenever I could find the document on the Vatican web site, that is the one I chose, since the Vatican is the most reliable custodian and translator of its own documents.
If I could not find it there, I looked next in the EWTN library. EWTN during its more than twenty years on the air has proven itself a reliable source for Catholic information.
If I could not find a document either on the Vatican or EWTN
web sites, I looked for it in other online libraries that Catholic
Culture has rated
for fidelity
to the Magisterium.
These are the libraries I used:
| Library | Catholic Culture Rating |
| Vatican | Ubi Petrus, ibi Ecclesia. “As Peter, so the Church.” The Vatican is the reference standard for all Catholic teaching. |
| EWTN | EWTN |
| New Advent Library | New Advent Library |
| Catholic Information Network | Catholic Information Network |
| Priests for Life | Priests for Life |
| Adoremus | Adoremus |
| Catholic Liturgical Library | Catholic Liturgical Library |
