Many colleges and universities are highly regarded by the secular accrediting organizations. You would think that they wouldn’t intentionally alter a document. The liberal “deconstruction” movement, now entrenched in the secular universities, denies the existence of objective truth and therefore sees the Catholic Church as its enemy. Such an institution might decide to make subtle alterations that would lead anyone reading the document to reach a false understanding of Catholic teaching.
I have no idea whether any college or university that keeps Catholic documents in its library or on its web site actually does make subtle alterations. I do know that any institution that regards the Catholic Church as its enemy cooperates with the demonic. Jesus warned the Pharisees, Jn 8:44 “You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks according to his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” I simply don’t trust any institution that cooperates with the demonic.
Catholic Culture’s
site ratings
are clear. A green light
rating indicates that a site excels in all four Fidelity
categories: orthodoxy, obedience, fortitude and prudence. Dr. Jeff
Mirus, the excellent Catholic scholar who runs Catholic
Culture , is in union with Rome and has the highest respect for Church
teachings. I trust such persons to preserve intact the Vatican documents on
their sites.
